Big Five©plus Inventory
What is his general personality profile?
The Big Five©plus Inventory is a standardized test for personality assessment, built after the Big Five model (Goldberg, 1999). It provides a comprehensive personality profile, a complete screening of the individual personality, controlling for social desirability. The Big Five©plus Inventory allows both the evaluation of the 5 meta-factors of personality (Extraversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism, Conscientiousness and Openness) and of the 30 factors (facets) of personality contained in the main factors. The 240 questionnaire items are formulated as assertions with two possible answers (forced choice), that allows us to diminish the tendency to provide socially desirable responses, in conditions of psychological evaluation "with high stakes" (on the occasion of the hiring psychological evaluation or of the regular psychological assessment).
The Big Five©plus Inventory demonstrated good psychometric qualities. Internal consistency coefficients are higher than the threshold of 0,80, and the statistical analysis regarding the test-retest reliability indicates that the instrument presents values that are superior to the threshold of 0,710. Confirmatory factor analysis show that the tool evaluates the five facets of personality, at least as accurately as other tools already acknowledged nationally or internationally: the IPIP questionnaire (Goldberg, 1999) and the NEO PI-R Personality Inventory (Costa and McCrae, 1987). The structural analysis confirms the existence of the 5 latent meta-factors (extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness) and a valid predictive model, as long as the five factors of the Big Five©plus Inventory questionnaire revealed good prediction coefficients for the homologous latent factors.
.
The Big Five©plus Inventory has advantages which deserve to be highlighted in relation to other similar tools for the assessment of personality, constructed according to the Big Five Model / Five Factors:

The Big Five©plus Inventory has advantages which deserve to be highlighted in relation to other similar tools for the assessment of personality, constructed according to the Big Five Model / Five Factors:
- it is dedicated to applications in organizational context, although it can also be used in individual clinical diagnosis;
- the wording of the items reduces the tendency to put on a facade / social desirability;
- allows the radiography of the defining aspects of the entire personality through 30 factors, and thus can provide a detailed profile of the assessed person.
